WEEK FROM NOT HEAVEN!

Our Current Home

Our Soon To Be New Home

Last week was probably one of the roughest I have had in a while (knock on wood.) To catch you up on what is going on in our lives, we have decided to buy a bigger house. It is just a couple of streets over from our current house. Sterling and I feel good about this decision. So now we have to sell our house. We will be moving into the new house next week and renting it until our house sells. Then we will purchase the new house.

So in order to move and sell our house, two weeks ago I started packing up the house and only keeping what we need for the next couple of weeks unpacked. Our garage is now very full. Then last week, we spent the week getting our house painted and cleaned VERY, VERY well. Then we moving and arranging furniture. We wanted to get all of this done by Saturday morning so we could put the for sale sign up in time for the weekend neighborhood garage sale. Amazing enough we did it. Just about every night we stayed up until 2 a.m. since we can't paint while Caelyn is awake and it needed to get done. On Friday night, we were finishing up the deep cleaning when the power went out. It was VERY dark. We did some cleaning by candle light and then went to bed. Before we got to sleep the power came back on and so we got up and cleaned until 3 a.m. However, by Saturday afternoon our house looked great.

So far no interest in our house, but we will be purchasing a MLS here soon and that should help. Hopefully, our house sells relatively quickly.

A big shout out to all my friends who helped me out over that last 2 weeks. It is great to have such great friends.

The website for selling our house is 1832antelopecircle.blogspot.com.

Wow...good luck with that.

We've debated a few times about moving to a bigger place. But there are a few things that keep dissuading us: uprooting the kids, finding the "right" house, having to go fix up new things (now that we're getting our house where we want it), bigger payment, etc.

But one of the other big things that keeps dissuading us is the giant pain in the tush it is to move.

Chin up. :)
